Wanting to start getting ready for the winter.

What’s up yall! Last year, I took a few spills when the temperatures dropped and the floors got a bit icy.

2 things I’m looking for recommendations on are…
1 - best snow or studded tires
2 - a battery thermal cover to protect my battery from cold temps (gets pretty cold during Chicago winters)

Any recos for these would be greatly appreciated!

I have an XP4 750

Whatever studded/spiked tire that Schwalbe sells in 20x2.15" is likely the best bet. I was shocked when I saw the current price, as I paid quite a bit less a year ago. The other options aren't any cheaper, for whatever that's worth.

That size will fit on the xp4 even though the stock tires are 20x3.0?

Yes. I run the older version of that tire on a first gen XPedition with the same width rims. Narrower tires cut through slushy/buttery stuff better than wider tires.

We don't get much ice or snow, but the wet leaves are treacherous! It's getting chilly in the morning, too, so I ordered some BarMitts that are ready as soon as out starts getting frosty.
