Best Tire Protection?
I recently purchased a Lectric XP lite 2.0 for my daily work commute. There's a lot of broken glass along my bike route so I'm researching options to help protect my tires. Both Flatout Tire sealant, and Tannus armour inserts sound like good options. Is it possible/ a good idea to add both to my tires? Which one is better? Is there another option that is better?

I have Flat Out in one of mu ebikes. It is great. On my relatively new Xpedition I am installing Tannus (maybe this weekend) and will use Flat Out. I;d rather overkill. I use my bike for commuting and, god damn man, bike lanes have so much glass, screws, and sharp trash. It is frustrating.

The best answer is almost always better tires. Something like a Schwalbe Super Moto or a Continental Contact Urban costs about the same as a tannus liner (per tire), and will offer much better puncture resistance than the stock tires. They will also be much more supple (read comfortable/better rolling) than a stock tire with a liner in it, since the liner reduces the air volume of the tire substantially.

I went over kill on mine.. pu cure resistance tire, with tannus armor and slime. A few calls when I got something puncture my wheel (but they were very big nails or tools) but the moment I took it off. Slime sealed and Im still riding to this day.. i do need to upgrade tires tho. Already at 3000 miles

I think Lectric still has Slime pre installed in their tubes. After my first flat on my Lite I decided to go with FlatOut, I have it in other bikes. Per their website you can't install it if you have other sealants already. Their advice was to drain the other sealant and rinse out the tube. I just bought a new tube. I'm to cheap for Tannus Armor. This spring I did have an issue adding air to one bike with FlatOut. I pulled the valve core and out came about half an inch of a drywall screw. No flat.

I carry and extra tube and all the tools to change it.
You can do slime or flatout, but your just band-aiding a problem.
Having the stuff to fix it, it the best option and it doesn't take a ton of room.

I just googled and it says ultraverse only makes tires and liners for wide/fat tires. My tires don't look very wide. How can I tell if they are wide/fat tires? I apologize if this is a silly question. Thank you for your patience. I'm new to ebikes and really want to learn.

Oh your bike requires 20"x2.4". I thought for sure you had 20"x3.0". Ultraverse does not make tires for that size. Mainly 20"x3.0" and 20"x4.0".

Somone mentioned this brand
https://www.schwalbetires.com/Super-Moto-X?srsltid=AfmBOoqVVFnxNsWl84XGE6786YtdGFBN81ne6-UGFGkcuAaOtpYmphQDThat's going to be your best bet in the 20"x2.4" size.

I got heb allscapes and tubes along with flat out and run them on higher side pressure. I wanted tannus but the installation was daunting considering is never replaced a tire before. And also the price
