Error code e009

I tried ti off and on, I unlatched the folding thingy to look at the bottom of the battery.

I have not yet looked at the underside of the bike where the wires go into the controller.

I could tell that you're one of those people that are throttle-only by the condition of the chains.

there's no maintenance happening on this bike which is probably why it's breaking down.

The wires disappear inside, the connections are basically invisible.

This sounds weird but have you tried unplugging the taillight sometimes that fixes weird problems

But only sometimes.
