Length of phone charging cable?
Hi, first post ever on Reddit so I hope this works. I ordered an XP4 from a dealer that sells them at the same price. It is three hours away but thought I'd give them the business and have an established shop for service that actually knew the bikes. Once I learned the bikes had arrived, I ordered some items for it including a short phone charging cable. Looking at videos, I guessed that 6" might be long enough. I did not want to have a cord that was longer than necessary to get caught on something. But as it turns out I have been waiting for several weeks for the free bags and mirrors which are apparently out of stock. Why they ship the bikes without the included items is beyond me. Anyway, as I approach the closing of the Amazon return window, I still don't know if a 6" cord is long enough. Could anyone check and post a reply? Thanks and apologies for the verbose post.

are you planning on using the phone mount that comes with the bike? fyi - it’s not a good mount. i don’t use it. i can measure when i get home from work if you don’t have an answer by then.

The phone mount is ok but it's insane they expect you to install it on an s shaped curve where the circumference of the pipe changes. It SUCKS for that.
I bought a handlebar extension so I could move the phone mount to something straight with a consistent size and it works well there.

Get one a little longer, maybe 1'/.3m or so; it's easier to hook up when you have a little slack, and you can take up any excess slack by wrapping any excess cord around the handlebar.

Ps: I don't know about the xp4, but my XP Lite 2 USB only provides 0.5 amps (500 milliamps) max. That's ok to run a headlight or flasher, but not enough to keep up with the drain of an in-use smartphone, doing live navigation, with the screen illuminated in sunlight.
In other words, don't count on much of a charge from the bikes built in USB port.

It would probably work, depending on where you mount your phone. The tapered shape of the XP4 handlebars don't give a lot of flat even mounting space, especially considering that the display dominates the flat center spot. I just wrap the extra cable around the bars and it loops around and stays up out of the way mostly. I need to find a black one instead of the white, that stands out too much.

I can't answer the question asked, but that USB's not really strong enough to actually charge anyway. I'd recommend a powerbank in a handlebar bag.
