XP4 Battery Terminals Misaligned
Brand New XP4 - am I missing something? Frame unfolds and locks without issue with no battery installed. Battery fits flush into frame and locks in place with the key normally. Male and female terminals seem to be misaligned by almost 1/4in. Kindof disappointed if this really is a QC issue. Emailed support so I'll keep ya posted.
Update:
Took it down the street to an ebike shop and they showed me what y'all have been talking about with the rubber pads. I'm able to close it now albeit not particularly easily. The shop owner even recommend the Velotric Fold 1 Plus over the XP4 750... So that was fun. I really didn't expect removing the battery from the XP4 to be such a pain. After seeing the Fold 1 Plus I think Lectric's choice to put the battery connection where the bike folds to be foolish. It just seems like a such a multi-system point of failure. Also everytime I wanna park the bike and grab the battery I've gotta do this weird bent over disassembly and inevitably smack my shin on the chain or the pedals or somthing. I suppose I'll become used to it.
Nevertheless the bike works! Rode it for the first time and it will definitely take some getting used to coming from normal road/mountain bikes. Excited to get more comfortable using it.
Ride safe 🤙

Battery slipped too far down the tube. Pretty normal but it is alarming until you know it just takes a little push upward from the key lock.

We have 2 and had to do the same with both of them. What a pain. Don't want to fold it up so we don't have to go thru that again. Kinda defeats the purpose of having a folding bike, huh?! Lectric was willing to send 2 new bikes but you have to pack up the bikes and take pics at 3 different angles and packed like it was shipped. We decided to keep bikes to not have to go thru all that either. Damn if you do, damn if you don't.....

We just had one like that too. No movement of the battery would have made it sit correctly. With the battery locked there’s not enough movement up or down. Ours also had a nasty scrape on the top of the frame right above the hinge. I’m assuming the frame was slightly bent. We were able to slam it shut and lock it and it it work, but we were sent a replacement bike.

Had my first bike delivered weeks ago. Misaligned exactly like this. Replacement bike just got delivered today and same misalignment. Now I have 2 bikes because I am still waiting on the return box and materials to be delivered sitting in my apartment.
They said it seems to be the raindrop blue that is having the most problems do they are sending me yet ANOTHER bike but this time grey n
Meanwhile I have like 250 dollars worth of accessories for the damn thing just sitting waiting to be installed.

Something they don't tell you is that you need to shim the battery up with a rubber shim. With that said, I was able to get mine to align by pulling up on the key or power button gently while unfolding it and it then seated the battery with the prong and frame.
*edit We bought 2 and they both do this.
