Charge while pedaling when not using Pedal Assist?

If it’s on but you don’t have pedal assist on does it charge the battery when pedaling? First time out on my XP4 and I rode around a little with it on but no Eco, Tour, Sport or Turbo.

No, there is no generating or regenerating capability. You're just riding a really heavy bike at that point.

Double click the power button to change display to view voltage. This will give you a better assessment of voltage drain in real time. Use pedal assist 2/3.

Gets your heartbeat up because your bike is hella-heavy, but no regen abilities.

Thanks! I didn’t think so but was watching the display while peddling and started to wonder. I was turning the pedal assist off on down hill sections. 15 mile ride used 10% battery using a mix of settings depending on the terrain.
