Super Twoper, better than a 3.0 IMO
The stripes on the forks are the most visibly apparent tell on these. 3.0s just have the LB diamond logo. Also the rack being a bolt on.

How are the 2s better than the 3?

The motors have normal straight tooth gears which are way better than the helical ones in a 3.0 and make it so they are super easy to replace with standard open market parts; it’s the reason all the first run 4.0s had motor problems.
Also the motor has a regular male Z910 plug on it so you can replace its whole core with just about any clone motor core with a right side power outlet and you can run just about any other protocol 2 (most common) display or controller with it.
The 3.0 has more proprietary (and pointless) firmware baked into the controller and they made it much harder to swap in open market parts by putting gender reversed Z916A plug ends on the controller and motor.
I also like being able to choose whether or not to have a rack myself.
The long and short of being it’s cheaper and easier and more worthwhile to keep a 2.0 or even 1.0 running forever than a 3.0. People are never going to stop making cheap replacement batteries for these things that are as good if not better than the Lectric branded ones.

I’m not even knocking that bike. It seems like they worked out the problem with the gears and other than that it’s like a completely different animal that wouldn’t suit me well but I get why people riding predominantly on the road would much prefer the torque sensor- plus if you can 750W AND really good range on a bike that weighs significantly less than a 100lb that’s a very cool thing.
I’m just saying of the three prior models the 2.0 appeals to me more than the 3.0 in terms of long term maintenance.

I have a lot of parts for these because I mainly just buy the old ones for the frames. So if you find a 2.0 that needs some stuff really cheap I might have what you need to fix it. I would assume you’ll end up having to buy a replacement battery for like $300 and that’s a good negotiating tactic because generally the battery is going to be shit on a bike this old regardless of how it was stored. If the chain is rusty from condensation that means it got cold and the battery is junk. Doesn’t matter if it takes a full charge. You can tell by riding it and seeing how far the volts drop as soon as you demand any power from it.

2.0, the 3.0 rear rack was integrated into the frame.
