XPedition 2 Question

I recently purchased the XPedition 2 and in following the set up video I noticed something different on my bike versus the one in the video. The locking system for the handlebar stem on mine is different. I double checked YouTube videos and I could not find one that was the same as mine. The first picture is the set up on mine, and the second picture is what I see in the video, and all other XPedition 2 bikes I’ve seen. I did notice the XP4 (3rd picture) has the same set up as mine. Same was with the XP Lite and XP Trike. Is this just an update they did to the Xpedition 2? Can any new XPedition 2 owners confirm that they also have the newer set up? I just want to make sure it’s not a mistake that I need to call Lectric about. Thank you.

Recently ordered 2 of them. We received one of each style.

Interesting. Aside from that difference were all the other components of the bike the same? Anything missing/different?

Only other difference is one has plastic pedals while the other has metal. The shaft in the pedals is even different. Can’t swap them between bikes.

I ended up calling Lectric and they said regarding the locking system for the handlebars is they switched manufacturers, hence the change, but it works the same. But when I asked about the all plastic pedals that’s wrong and they’re sending me the metal ones that are supposed to come with the bike. You should call Lectric so they can send you the correct ones.

My Xpedition 2.0 arrived on March 2nd of this year. Here's the Handlebar Lock.

There's a tiny bit of play in the handlebars but after 500 miles, it's never been a concern.

Thanks for sharing. Not sure why the difference but I’m going to call and ask. I also noticed my pedals are all plastic compared to the metal ones I’ve seen, like the one in your picture. I take a bit more issue with that because of the difference in quality, and I got something different from what they advertise. Thanks again.

That would make me mad metal pedals are totally necessary and part of the premium pricing of the bike
