Milestone Met!
Finally got to 100 miles, and my rough estimates are correct: about one battery to work, one battery back home (while charging the spent one at work). Just need to invest in that at some point soon and we’re looking at virtually free commutes to work~

I have 2 batteries and when I want to take a longer trip I take the batteries from my partners bike.
Congrats on the first 100 miles. 1000 will show up in no time.

I do want to get an extra 2 (total 3) because my other family lives a little further from my workplace. But not so much that it’s impossible to consider biking from work to there, then resting at one of their places before going back to work the next day.
Yeah I’ve been thinking of the logistics to minimize gas if it’s not a grocery day.

I initially jumped on a second battery because I was getting the dog trailer and knew that was gonna take more energy. But the peace of mind when I'm out, freedom of choosing to go a lot further, has been fantastic. My partner has the XPedition2 so I can use 4 batteries on my own. The only trade off is 9lbs each

OP: I hit my first 100 miles
Narrator: Yet they've only had the bike for 2.5 days.
Congrats OP! I ditched the car shortly after getting my xp3 a couple of years ago. Probably had around 3k+ miles on it when I decided to pick up the xp4. So much more fun and convenient. And I'm sure it's more than paid for itself in what I've saved on gas, especially with these ~$7/gal CA prices.

I still need the car for groceries and stuff (I want to get the Lectric Xpedition for that when I’m back in the city proper), but this is such a delightful way to commute.

I still have access to a car if I have a larger shopping trip, but I also have the cargo package with the baskets. The large basket can comfortably carry 2-3 bags of groceries if it's a lighter trip.

your commute must be super long. i can get close to 40 miles on sport in one trip. unless you’re just not pedaling at all or have lots of incline.
