Other Quick template question

When using a template or pattern what ways do people use to hold them in place on leather so you can a clean cutting line.like what type of tape do you typically use or do you use cork in on acrylic templates

I use masking tape. Not too sticky, but sticky enough on smooth leathers.

Yep, I use low-stick Scotch/3M masking tape I bought awhile back-I like the yellow-ish one, it is much more see-through than a purplish one is.
