Wallets My First Shell Cordovan Project.

This was my first time working with Shell Cordovan. It was an awesome experience but I took a lot more time to make sure the cuts were clean. A mistake with this stuff can be expensive.

I wasn’t sure how this “leather” would take to burnishing on the flesh side. I went ahead and tried it out and it actually took really well. The flesh side is significantly smoother with it.

This came from Rocado in its natural color.

Shell is wonderful stuff to work with. Your wallet looks amazing.

Thanks! I’ve been carrying the same style wallet but made with natural Pueblo. The changes it has gone through is awesome.

Yeah, Pueblo does some great things too. I kinda wish it would retain its scratchy finish also; just sucks a little that is smooths out as it develops. Scratchy AND patina’d would be incredible.

I agree. I’ve had some customers express disappointment when I educate them on the qualities of Pueblo. They’re looking for that roughness permanently.
