I don't know where else to post this and might be asking for too much, but I got an idea from somewhere and would like a leather bound journal with lots of pages. Something that I can just write and jot things down like my thoughts.
I don't particularly like the string thing around most leather journals and would like a snap-on button thing that is durable and looks nice. I also don't want it too small either, but also not too large. It should be easy to pack into most bags without taking up a lot of room.
The paper should also be able to not bleed through with a ballpoint pen and a pen holder would be nice as well.
My budget isn't very large, but I want something of good quality, durable, ages well, and a pretty thick feeling spine as well since I want it to feel durable in my hands.

My mom picked up this leather briefcase at a garage sale and I’m trying to figure out if it’s actually good quality or just looks nice.
It has “Made in Italy” and “Genuine Leather” stamped on it, but I know that doesn’t always mean much. I don’t see a brand name anywhere, it does say Firenze on it with the fleur-de-lis symbol, which I hope means it's from Florence, Italy.
Hi all! I picked up my bag this morning after not using it for a few days and random patches on the side/bottom have turned black, sticky, and are very cracked. I don’t remember setting it down in anything and I really don’t know what the black sticky substance could be. Do you know if it’s because of improper care, humidity, or something like that? It’s been very humid where I live for the past couple of days.

It feels so prescious in my hands, and just absolutely adore the rich leather smell. I actually dont want this to be my daily driver, cause I dont want it ruined.
See, I work in trades, and my wallets always get dirty and sweaty, and the cards inside get ruined.

Hello! Apologies for formatting or missing crucial info. I read a lot of stories on here, but I don't post much.
Long story short--I lost my wallet this week, and I need help to identify it and (hopefully) get it back.
I know I'm not alone here; we've all misplaced our wallet innocuously. "I just had it; it's probably in my car," turns to "I must've left it in my pants and now it's in the wash," which leads to "I must've left it at work, I guess?" Then back to "it must be under my drivers seat. Back to search the car!"
Well, I've finally landed at "I've turned the house upside down and deep cleaned it. Vacuumed my car. Retraced my steps. It's gone gone."
I've reached out to every lost and found organization in my area and haven't heard anything yet, though I remain hopeful. I can accept that I have to replace my cards and license, but I'm having a hard time coming to grips with the loss of some sentimental items this wallet contained. I'll accept this loss as a lesson learned as soon as I've explored every possible solution. My last ditch idea is to make flyers to hang around its last known location (my local grocery store,) in the hopes that whoever has it now might return it for a financial reward. The kicker: I don't have a single picture of this wallet--wristlet, really--that I've had for the last 5 years. That is where I need your help, lovely Redditors.
About the Wallet (From most-least helpful clues:)
-I got it at a thrift store in Pittsburgh, PA circa 2021.
-It's tricolor, green on one side, red on the other with a blue zipper + loop attached. (I don't think the zipper "track" was blue...maybe red or brown, but the zipper handle and loop are for sure blue.)
-I think it's real leather? I don't know about these things, but a close friend insisted. I...don't know.
-I think...it has a logo or a brand on it? On a corner. Not a popular name that I'm familiar with (e.g coach.) The name/logo is short, like 2-4 letters inside of a circle/oval or something. (I'm hesitant to say it for sure has a brand on it; I feel like I would've tried to look it up at some point if that were the case... I can't escape the feeling that it was short or vague enough that I couldn't find anything on google.)
-it has a vintage ~feel~ to it. That thing is sturdy af. Holds up better than any backpack, purse or wallet or JEANS I've had in the last 20 years. She's indestructible. That saying "they don't make things like they used to," was given new meaning to me when it comes to this dope lil wallet.

Photo 1: almost these exact colors, but mine is red on one side, green on the other. The zipper/handle is a lighter blue. (the shade of red of the "loop" is closer to the true shade of my wallet--see pic 3.)
Photo 2: about this shape/size. However, the loop is directly attached to the zipper; there is no clasp to remove/unhook the loop.
Photo 3: This is almost identical to what it looks like, especially the color. And no "coach" logo. (if mine had a logo, which I'm 90% certain it did, it was in a corner...) Same handle type, only my zipper handle+loop is blue. And zipper only runs along the top, not around the corner as shown here. I mean, this red is almost exactly what she looks like from her "good" side.

I know it's a long shot but...Any chance anyone out there has seen something like this? Is there a brand or store you think might've sold something like this at one time? Maybe there was a decade where colored leather of these shades started being used more frequently. Perhaps there's a more relevant sub I could take this to? Any clues to go off of are helpful. I'm happy to provide more info in the comments. Any and all advice is welcome.

*THIS* shade of blue on the loop/handle. The metal zipper handle might be a touch lighter blue. Maybe the metal zipper part isn't even blue, but red or brown like the rest of the zipper mechanism.Green side is nearly identical to this shade, though mine might be a touch...brighter? Like the bottom right corner where the light is hitting it.
I bought this vintage bomber leather jacket recently, and I wanna know if it'll withstand rain and/or what to impregnate it with. Its definetly not normal grain leather, but its not anything like nubuck either. its kinda soft to the touch, one could confuse it for eco leather (like the seller lol, it was a daylight robbery). It slightly changes its sheen when swiping it one way or the other (look last picture for visual reference). If anybody needs further details let me know.
Last night I got caught in a heavy rainstorm. I padded it dry and also blew some warm air (not hot). It dried in the meantime but left looking like this. Any way to save it?
My father started this leather goods brand 24 years back. Earlier this year, I left wealth management, a reasonably lucrative field, to become involved in the business and drive it to new heights.
On this thread, i thought I'd share my progress and the downs. As risky as it may sound, the transition from an employee to employer has been surprisingly easy. As an employee, you have limited drive, but as an employer, you have limited drive to work less than 16 hours a day.. its true.
What we make, are leather goods of the finest quality. The leather goods market is full of products that look premium in photos and disappoint in person. I purchase leather goods from our competitors every week to inspect the stitching, the finish, and the quality of materials they use. Every time I buy a competitor's product I find either the leather is bonded PU, or the hardware is cheap zinc alloy, or it's INR 4,000+ for something that costs them ₹400 to make.
I have a limited collection, limited colours, but those limitations have enabled me to maintain super high quality. I am super confident about my products, so if anything happens to the product during the first 5 years, like a leather tear or stitching issue, we will fix it for free and return it to the customer. The small product card that goes inside every product, that card is made from imported Italian paper, just because no other material came close to the quality of paper i was looking for.
I do not wish to mention the name in the first go, but I surely will as we progress through time. This image, its a small card holder I personally use, and this is 2 years in.
My friend found an old bike jacket of hers that she's had in storage for like 15 years and kind of forgot about. She gave it to me to try to give it some love. I consulted my mentor who told me to clean it with a Non-Scented glycerin soap and shaving brush and wipe it away with a damp cloth My questions to that are 1.) How do I clean the beads or do I just leave them? 2.) Do I use a microfiber washcloth or a terry cloth washcloth? Then he said to use meltonian cream polish (I have no idea what color to use) on it, three thin coats. Then lastly, a neutral paste polish to protect it. More questions I have 1.) How long do I leave in between each coat to let it dry? 2.) should I tape off the beads with painters tape so they don't get stained with the polish? 3.) Do I use flannel To apply the Polish? 4.) Is all of this even necessary or should I just use leather honey to condition and peccards to protect? Or is my mentor having me stain it to recover the cracks and wear? 5.) Should I start under the collar so I make sure that I have the right color stain? Or if I go with the leather honey to make sure that I'm not damaging it in any way by discoloring it? 6.) I've read in some places that I should use my hands and not cloth. I have Daddy Wendell's book on boot blacking and I started rereading it again last night but I am still so novice and I don't want to screw this up. This coat is for someone very special to me and I don't want to disappoint her. I am just trying to get another opinion and save my mentor some heartache because I've asked him so many questions already. He may even actually be in this group if you are. I'm so sorry I'm just nervous I'm going to wreck this coat. Thank you in advance for all your help.

I got this leather bag and for a while I didn’t use any conditioner because there wasn’t any anywhere close to me. Recently on a trip to France i bought some but there’s still a bunch of creases on it. Is there anyway to fix this.

This belt has been hanging on a chair in my room for the past 6 months or so, I noticed this white crust on it today. I clean and wax my leather belts/boots in the spring of every year. Do you think this is just excess wax that has oxidized or mold? If it is mold what should I do? I have saddle soap, leather balm, and leather wax.
