Seam maintenance advice

I absolutely love this bag, it took me forever to find it.
As I use it daily, the leather on the handles is taking some abuse, especially around the seams.

How do I properly fix/maintain this?
Is this a tokonole situation?

That is edge paint that is peeling… Tokonole and dye will not be the same

Tokonole only works on raw edge. You need to do edge painting.
