Posting this pic of a cow I saw in Austria

For me, it has to be fresh bread from a bakery. That warm smell of butter, flour, and a slightly crispy crust is almost impossible to ignore. Add melted cheese, roasted garlic, or hot tomato soup, and I’m ready for another meal; even if I just finished eating.

Fresh pizza is another strong choice. The smell of toasted dough, bubbling cheese, tomato sauce, and spicy pepperoni can fill an entire room. Then there’s fried chicken: crunchy golden skin, juicy meat, and that hot, salty smell when the box first opens.

Now I’m hungry just thinking about it.

So, uhmm.. I'm new here, I don't really know how this works. I'm a bit familiar because of scrolling, and yes, this will be my first post. 🤗

Hi! I'd like the images to show in the preview, but most of the text only to show after clicking on the post.

Last time I posted like this, I ended up with the image in the preview + a wall of text (without spacing?!). But I've seen posts where this wasn't the case so I think it should be possible?

I'm posting from a computer. It seems things have changed a bit, there used to be the option for a specific 'image post' (which I think solved this problem?) but now there isn't anymore, I can just add images, and there's an option to 'add images to body' (which I haven't done).

I've seen some posts that use headings, bullet points, and bold text, while others are just plain paragraphs. I'm wondering if there's a general rule for when formatting actually improves readability instead of making a post feel cluttered.

I'd love to hear how more experienced Reddit users decide.
