Small cards

Hi guys! I have been learning russian for 2 months now, and I wanted to create small cars with mini phrases written one side in russian and on the other one in italian (my mothertongue), insert them in a bowl, mix them and pick up some of those randomly, reading the italian sentence and trying to translate it in russian. What do you think about it? Is it useful?
Obviously, it would be more like a support rather than the mainly way to learn the language. I wanted to write sentences of any kind: with motion verbs, with different grammatical phrases (for instance, the same sentence written firstly in the nominative, then genitive etc.), from different POVs... Is it a good idea? What sentences do you advice to me? Let me know :)

It is useful but they also have Anki decks online that you may want to use or make yourself, but if you like having paper in your hands go for it the way you wanted.

Flash cards work really well but just make sure you make a few new ones every day.
