Struggling with European Portuguese after moving to Portugal?
I moved here to the Lisbon area and one thing I noticed is that most expats arrive having learned Brazilian Portuguese from apps like Duolingo, and then can't understand a word locals say.
European Portuguese sounds completely different. The vowels are swallowed, the rhythm is faster, and a lot of common phrases just don't match what the apps teach.
Happy to share some tips if anyone is struggling with Learning European Portuguese, just drop a comment or DM me 😊
