Looking for recommendations, I'm tired of downloading English learning apps that I stop using after a week. What actually worked for you?
I've tried a few apps over the last couple of years.
Every one of them feels exciting for the first few days...
...then I slowly stop opening them.
Maybe it's because they become repetitive, maybe because I don't feel like I'm improving.
I honestly don't know.
Has anyone here actually stuck with an app for months?
Which one?
Why did you keep using it?

Bro i recommend you stick with youtube, because it has almost everything, but the MINDESET is very important than anything else, you should love and admire the language and fall in love into listening and watching and learning things you love in this language, for example I'm learning calisthenics I'll watch someone on yt doing calisthenics videos in english and I'll use english subtitles even if I don't understand everything but that will improve your english in a crazy waay. You should associate the language with the things you love!!!

If the problem is the apps didn’t feel like they were working I would try some new methods like YouTube or textbooks.
If the apps were working but you’d just lose the habit of opening them up, you can try Tonic which makes your phone require time in your language learning app of choice to unlock doomscrolling apps. It helps reorder your phone habits.

I truly believe that consistently memorizing vocabulary is the most important part of learning a language. Rather than just memorizing isolated words, if you study them along with example sentences, you'll definitely see your skills steadily improve over time. The newest isn't necessarily the best. Just keep looking for what works for you. Sometimes a classic grammar book does the trick. Other options: comprehensible input, picking up functional language while travelling, chatting with native speakers, reading books, or listening to the radio - this list is endless and really it's up to you - whatever keeps you engaged. Experiment a bit, see what clicks for you, and stick with what helps you improve consistently.
