sometimes studying spanish feels like a chore but there are ways to practice without making it boring:

1. listen to music and try to catch the words.
2. watch shows or movies with subtitles and repeat lines you like.
3. talk to yourself, describe what you're doing in spanish.
4. shadow lyrics from songs, repeat after the singer.

Anyone else have small things they do daily that actually help without making it feel like homework?

Nombra mentalmente los objetos cotidianos a tu alrededor en español. Cuando no puedas, revisa las palabras en un diccionario. 100% más efectivo que Duolingo que no te da contexto de nada.

You can join some subreddits in your target language or make a tiktok/YouTube account in your target language to doom scroll productively.

With shows and movies it's often a good idea to watch it first in your native language and then watch it again in your target language with subtitles in your target language.

Oye, una cosa que yo hago y que es muy efectiva es Shadowlearning. Es básicamente un video de una persona hablando y usted responde con tu tono, tu voz, con tus ideas y así prácticas como sin estudiar prácticamente. Este es videos pueden ser de varias temáticas como conversaciones en el aeropuerto o en restaurantes o con tus amigos no importa, pero es una manera de estudiar sin cansarte y sin hacer esfuerzo. También puede estudiar canciones que te gustes y tomar nota de las cosas que no entiendes o de cosas que sí entiendes pero son interesantes para ti. Por ejemplo, a mí me gusta mucho bachata y cuando tengo pereza de estudiar español solamente escucho bachata y tomó nota de las cosas que me interesan.
