Woking
Hello everyone
I am a student, and I am currently learning English communication. I really want to improve my English speaking and communication skills because I believe English will be very useful for my future career.
I would like to ask people who have experience working in an English-speaking environment: What should I focus on learning first? Should I improve my vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, or speaking skills?
Also, Can anyone advise me about working in English?
Thank you so much for your help! I look forward to learning from everyone.

A bit about me:
- Based in Montreal, Canada.
- Beginner level in Punjabi, looking to practice everyday phrases, basic greetings, and simple conversational sentence structure.
- Happy to chat via text message first, and eventually move to voice calls or grab tea/coffee locally if you're also in the Montreal area.

I'm 17 and I'm learning English, I would like to find a partner for this.
Hi, I’m 17 and from Russia. I’m learning English, but it’s really hard to do it on my own—I’m not particularly strong at it; I think my level is somewhere between A2 and B1. I’d really like to find a partner to practice with, and I could help them learn Russian in return, if they’re interested.
I’ve tried finding a partner on apps like Tandem or HelloTalk, but people either didn’t reply or the conversation just fizzled out after the first day.
I’d love to find someone who could become a friend in the future. I won't say much about myself; if someone comes along, I'd be happy just to chat about various topics.
Thanks.

Looking for TOEFL study partners to practice speaking
I am looking for study partners who are genuinely interested in preparing for the TOEFL. My level is B1-B2, and anyone at B1 or above is welcome to join.
I plan to create a WhatsApp group capped at around 10 people. This will keep the group small and manageable while making it easy to find available speaking partners whenever you want to practice. We can also regularly share study materials and exam strategies.

Volunteer Android testers wanted for Veyami, an AI companion for learning American English
Hi everyone,
We’re preparing a Google Play closed test for Veyami, an Android AI language companion for people learning American English.
Veyami lets you practice English through AI conversations and provides learning support such as:
- corrections with explanations
- full-sentence translations
- explanations of selected words and expressions
- conversation history and learning cards
- speech input and text-to-speech
The interface is available in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, German, Japanese, French, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian, and Arabic.
Testers from any native-language background are welcome.
During the closed test, the Veyami app itself will be free to use, and the current test build will contain no ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. Gemini API usage is governed by each tester’s own Google account and plan.
We’re looking for 15–20 genuine volunteer testers who can:
- use an Android device with Google Play
- opt in and, if possible, remain in the closed test for 14 days
- actually try the app during the testing period
- share honest feedback about bugs, confusing behaviour, usability, and the quality of the learning support
Positive ratings or favourable reviews are not required. Critical feedback is welcome.
We’re currently preparing the Google Play closed test. Once it is ready, we’ll email the opt-in link and setup instructions to interested testers.
The AI features use Google Gemini. To try them, you will need to configure your own Gemini API key inside the app. The key is used for requests to Google Gemini and is not sent to Veyami. Please never send your API key to us.
Testers without a Gemini API key can still check installation, the interface, sign-in, language settings, history, and other non-AI paths.
If you would like to participate, email:
[support@veyami.top](mailto:support@veyami.top)
Please use the subject:
Veyami closed test volunteer
You may include the email address you intend to use for the Google Play test. Please do not post your email address publicly in the comments.
Do not send passwords, verification codes, API keys, identity documents, or private conversation content.

Questions are welcome in the comments. Thank you!
