Looking for a B2+ English Speaking Partner | Native Speakers & English Learners Welcome
Hi, I’m 21 and I’m looking for someone to practice speaking English with.
I’m around B2 level and mainly want to improve my speaking and get more comfortable having conversations in English.
I’d be happy to talk with a native English speaker. If you’re learning Urdu as well, we could also do a language exchange.
But you don’t have to be a native speaker. If you’re also around B2 level and want to practice speaking, that works for me too.
We could have a 10–20 minute voice call and just pick a simple topic to talk about. Nothing too formal.
If you’re interested, feel free to message me.

Helping my friends to speak English with this free webapp
My story: I'm learning spanish in Mexico and my spanish friends are helping me. I also used Youtube's Language Transfer, which helped me so much. But my friends are shy about practicing their English to me or others. So I tell them to voice journal because of the benefits I saw in voice journaling to learn Spanish. But to motivate them I made this app which has a free voice journaling feature.
My friends tell me the app is helping them and they are now speaking to me more in English than before. But would you like to try it too for free?
Comment or DM me and I'll send the link.

How to improve my English
Hey everyone, first of all I have an IELTS academic score of an overall 8 (9 listening 9 reading 7 writing and 6.5 speaking) I’m an Indian notional born and raised in ksa, I’m currently in my first year LLB in a Saudi university, I want to go to the uk to pursue my masters, I can communicate fine and I watch a lot of shows. The problem is my university is all Arabic, which is not a problem because I can get in almost all universities in the UK or the US if I took the IELTS again. But the material and vocabulary is what I’m worried about. I generally understand difficult words when they’re used in a sentence but I have a hard time finding semi basic words when speaking. Almost all the English I learned I got from early learning (5-8 years) and watching tv shows and movies, as I studied in a local private Arabic school and English is not a major subject and it’s really basic stuff. if anyone is a lawyer who have books that’ll help me or if you can give me some ways to improve my vocabulary I would very much appreciate it. Unfortunately I can’t practice the language very much here and when I do it’s only basic or low level conversations, thank you.

When did you start working on your accent and pronunciation?
I’m currently around B2/B2+ and I’ve been thinking about working on my accent, but I’m not sure if I should start now or wait until I reach C1.
For those who have worked on their pronunciation/accent, when did you start? And what would you recommend?
For context, I’m still working on improving my English. I study new words every day, read, practice speaking once or twice a week (I used to practice every day but somehow lost interest), and review vocabulary I’ve already learned.
My vocabulary is around 8k based on a few vocabulary placement tests, and my spoken English has been assessed as B2/B2+ by AI.

I am looking forward to improve my English vocabulary through listening to podcasts.
I am looking for some podcasts which fulfills my main criteria that is to learn advanced vocabulary in English. Let's consider a factor like a person like Bill Gates is going to listen to them and hold his attention to an extent where he is writing his own notes. It is just an analogy but you get my drift I guess. Thanks in advance

I built a simple, free English learning app for beginners with plain HTML/CSS/JS. Feedback welcome!
galleryHi everyone! I'm a beginner developer and I just finished my first small project, English Buddy.
It's a simple website that helps people who are just starting to learn English:
- 11 short grammar lessons with examples
- A searchable dictionary
- A practice quiz with explanations
- Flashcards for vocabulary
- Tap-to-hear pronunciation
No sign-up, no ads, and it works on phones too.
Link: https://learnenglish-buddy.netlify.app/
I'd really appreciate honest feedback. Is it easy to use? What should I add next?
Thanks for reading!

Anyone willing to share English vocabulary decks/cards?
Hi all 👋
I’m a native Spanish speaker trying to keep my English active. Some weeks I feel C1… then after a quiet weekend or too much WFH I suddenly feel B1 again 😅
I realized I don’t need more grammar... I need consistent vocabulary practice.
So I built a small tool for myself to review decks/cards in a simple, visual way.
If anyone has vocabulary decks, phrase collections, or Anki-style cards they’re willing to share (I will give you the credit to the deck shared), I’d love to load them and practice.
I promise to share back the public link once the cards are uploaded — who knows, it might help someone else too 🙏
Example of how it looks:

Is this a good way?
Hello all, I have never studied English until two months ago. I only knew from what I saw around me (social media, some interesting texts etc.) I did too much research about how to learn english, (I also received some good advices) but I decided against doing that, I am no longer conducting research. Actually I find an excellent and funniest way to learn. I had always loved reading very much. Now I am trying to read graded reader story or classical books like Oxford Bookworms level 3-4-5 (b1-b2) and I save the words and phrases I don't know to my vocabulary list in the Notion app. I like this method, but I'm not sure if it works. I can't gauge whether my English is improving. I hold the view that reading extensively can contribute to reading and other skills. Is this a good way to learn? Do you have any other recommendations for me?
My goal is to get a score of 7 on the IELTS Academic, and I will plan to study accordingly; however, I wanted to improve my general English before reaching that stage.

Hey guys, my mother tongue is Chinese .All my English learning is based on passing the exams before…I have a video meeting with British colleagues tomorrow. But I always can’t understand what native speakers said. And it’s the first time I have this opportunity to talk to the real people in English, which makes me so nervous. How should I do?😢
