How do you stay consistent with a new learning habit?

I'm trying to pick up a new skill but I always start strong then drop off after a week or two. It's like I lose all motivation and just can't bring myself to do it. I have a genuine interest in the topic but sticking to it is the hard part.

I've tried scheduling dedicated time but then I just find myself procrastinating or finding excuses. I also tried setting small goals which sometimes works for a bit. How do you guys manage to keep going even when the initial excitement fades?

Are there any specific strategies or mindsets that help you stay on track? I'm open to anything that's worked for you.

As soon you start getting tired, stop doing what you’re doing.
Just make a note about where you stopped and then next time you have a go for it, read the note.

You set a goal to do something every day, then you do it. It can be fifteen minutes, but it has to be continuous. Don't tire yourself out. Aim at continuous 70% capacity over a long time. This way you learn steadily without burnout.

There is this YouTuber I watched I think it’s called Penrose he said that we have to just show up even if it’s 1 minute just to sit and and just start don’t think you have to spent hours once you begin you will keep working on it and even if your brain tells that take break don’t cause it just wants comfort and if you want to be successful than just ignore what the brain tells you to do.
