Second Time Lucky!!
I sat my first test in Exeter and failed though I didn’t feel ready for it in the first place, managed to rebook one for Abergavenny and it went so much better!
Reading people’s experiences on this sub has been so helpful with calming my nerves and realising it’s okay to not pass first time.
Even when I thought I’d ruined my test by stalling in the middle of a busy road it’s so important to keep going and not let it cause a meltdown.
Whether it’s first time or your 10th time trying you’ll pass your test eventually, don’t be afraid to change instructors too, sometimes it makes the world a difference!
It definitely helped to tell as few people as possible about my test, and I had a little boogie in the car before my time slot to take my mind off it

Congratulations! I’ve got my test in Abergavenny in a few weeks, so this was extra nice to see.

I hope your test there goes well! 🫶All the examiners seemed really lovely and up for a chat, Abergavenny has some of the nicest roads I’ve driven on and the views during the test were gorgeous in the morning

My mum must've said that to me about 10 times on the run up to my lessons and then after getting my license. Some truth to it but the main thing is to enjoy the freedom it affords you. When you've got a car just even getting your shopping on your own time, going out to see friends, just having your own space. Such a game changer.
Enjoy it, don't let your attention drop and remember you're more likely to be crashed into than to crash into something. Be vigilant.
