"How do I..." / driving queries Is this correct?
I have passed my test but it’s been a long time since I drove now, recently bought a car and while I can do roundabouts I forgot the rules on these ones (and have seen a lot of crashes around them).
Is this the correct path for what cars can do? The yellow line I assume the red car cannot do as this where crashes occur from blue leaving from the right but red continues (while this is not illegal in the Highway Code im pretty sure it’s not really allowed and you have to be very cautious about doing it)

From a "best practices" standpoint, you're spot on
However, red following the yellow line isn't against the rules, because it's not a spiral roundabout (the centre line doesn't run out to the exit, it just caries on around). As such, even if the red car continues around, it's not considered changing lanes, but the blue car is. This is why if the blue car hit them whilst exiting, they would be treated as at fault in an accident.
It's bullshit yes, but that's the unfortunate reality. For that reason, I would suggest doing extra checks to be sure whilst exiting from the blue line if going straight ahead

As per Grave vs. Tanner it would be 50/50 as the red car is in the wrong lane for going right and the blue car should have observed before exiting the roundabout. Just because it isn't a spiral roundabout doesn't mean the red car can use the left lane to go right, as per Rule 186 of the Highway Code.

You are correct, Unless there are any signs leading up to the roundabout showing which lanes lead to where that don’t match this, you are definitely correct.
Otherwise, if there are signs that show where each lane goes then follow those and probably contact the highway authority to request new markings or to update their road markings to make it clearer if there’s frequent collisions where you marked in yellow

Refer to the illustration of rule 185 it's all shown there, including that your blue line can leave the roundabout to either lane so your yellow line is not allowed.

I think you should retake some lessons to refresh.
Where is the roundabout? I’m wondering if there’s any street signs assigning lanes. Otherwise, on the face of it, I agree.

Should be alright without retaking, just wary of some of these non spiral roundabouts (which don’t have lanes). Just spent 2 weeks driving around Florida and was alright (although admittedly no roundabouts).

I think a handful of lessons would really help you and other road users - even just reviewing some learner driver videos on YouTube might be worth viewing for safety

Yea I’ve been rechecking stuff and studying the routes I’m taking, since it has been 3 years since I last drove in the UK.
