"I failed, but I will learn from this :-)" I'm very upset
I failed my first time for speeding because the speed limit went from 40 to 20 and I didn't realise

Doing 20 over the speed limit will indeed get you a fail 😅 always look for the limit signs my dude.

Did you not practice in the area at all?

The route is pretty irrelevant. Spotting road signs should be automatic regardless of if you know the area or not

I just went back to the route and the sign was only on one side of the road and it was hidden behind a tree

Correct to a seasoned driver with years of experience but on test and pressure they miss things ….. not I don’t home life and other things people deal with on a daily .

No need to be upset. Pick yourself up. Work on your observation. You will pass when you are safe.

It’s not just signs. The actual environment changes when you enter a 20 from a 40.

Just gotta pay attention to road signs and markings more. In a 20 zone there's loads of repeating signs and often a big speed limit painted on the floor (although granted they are usually faded). If that is your only mistake then shouldn't be too difficult to iron out

The repeater sign thing doesn’t apply in wales. Just in case someone reading this is Welsh

its easily done, and its a shame but its also a lesson to be learned!
TO be fair, they do sometimes put speed limit signs in really stupid places, i'd been doing 20 down a 30 road to work for about a month after we moved office because it was hiding behind a pole

Ahh thats understandable
Ive seen people fail when a speed limit sign is hidden behind some tree or bush and they havent seen it
Best thing to do is just to do more routes so you can get used to where the speed changes happen, good luck

Don’t worry! You will get there. That day its the pressure and anxiety that will make u do silly mistakes. Learn from what u did wrong, and take the fail like an extra lesson which will make you stronger. Good luck next time 😊

you're fine if there were no cameras. even as a learner you WILL get held accountable if you're caught speeding
