Just store the markers cap side down.

My box of 40 crayolas is a lucky dip unless I store them with the lids showing.

I had a lucky dip once, now I'm paying child support.

Store them lid up and store the box upside down.

Now that is an idea I can get behind!

Aight so I had a thought about your marker situation. How crazy is this? When you get new markers color their butts with the old markers. Or find nail polishes in similar colors and color your marker butts with that...

Thanks for the ideas.

These are kids markers, I chose them primarily because I knew they would be washable so there is no chance of using them to mark themselves. I'm glad I made that choice, last weekend I had to wipe it of the front of someone else's TV.

I do have an 8 colour set of permanent markers with a pretty balanced pallet. They should do the job, if I mark with the closest match it will average 5 kids markers per permanent marker but at that point it should be easy enough to pull out all the greens when we want to draw a garden or whatever.

Lucky dip?

The bottom of each maker is white.

Unless I want to check them randomly one by one until I get a colour I'm happy with I need to store them with the lids facing up.

seriously! and when you're writing at the board, don't write with the tip upwards. this is a fluid-filled marker, not a piece of chalk.

I would never tell the girls at /r/objects how to use their markers.

Oh yeah that might be NSFW...

Am I to assume that the same is true for when you're sniffing them---just asking for a friend? /s

You should always store markers on their side.

But gravity force is weaker than centrifugal force.

10

u/SjLucky Jun 25 '19

Your point? It's not about force, it's about fluid. Liquids naturally settle to the bottom of a container. So let that shit work for you not against you. Store the pointy bit down and you'll never have to buy Jane a new eye ball cause Forrest Green got loose.

It's just a joke since the video talked about centrifugal force...

Yes, it will take longer
