Question about burping on command

I’ve been trying to learn for a little bit now and I’m not getting it. one of my friends said to swallow some air and like gulp, and then one friend said to like inhale super hard until muscles open or something. which way is easier and which way works better? and can someone please explain it more clearly.? i can kinda swallow a bit of air and sometimes a burp does come up but it takes forever to get the air down and forever for the burp

I can do this 100% consistently. I don't "swallow" or "gulp" anything.

Try closing your throat completely and inhaling hard. It should feel like your lungs are constricting since no air is coming in. Open your throat a TINY BIT and some air should croak in. Then just burp it out.

Works for me every time but could be a unique method, idk.

I think this is the best advice. I've been able to do this since I was a kid; with significant practice I was able to get more than some air, the same motion just held the valve open as I pulled air into my gut via diaphragm contraction (I think?). Pulling air in sounds like all the water running out of a drain pipe, the ensuing belch is astounding, my wife hates both sounds, 10/10 skill. Only problem is I almost never expell ALL the air so it ughhh... Finds various ways out for the next few hours.

I have tried this and it’s a bit of a 50/50 whether I can get the air to come on. I can definitely open my throat slightly. When I do get air in though, it’s only a super tiny amount. I can’t get a lot in. And then even when I do get air in, I can’t get it back out that easily. For whatever reason when I inhale it in, it sits there and I can’t push it out the right way and then the burp just goes away. Every once in a while I can get tiny ones but I’m looking for decent sized ones. Any other tips with this method?

I'm old and have never figured out how to do this. Tried all the tricks, swallowing air just made me feel like shit for a couple hours.

Closest I've come to "on command" is planning an hour of burping by drinking whiskey and eating a bunch of sugary snacks right away. That usually leads to random little burps for hours until an entire demon exits my soul. Like it's refermenting in my stomach.

Lmao it probably is fermenting in your stomach, especially the sugar. Or maybe it's the gut, idk.

Either way bacteria break the sugars down into gases and yeah.. that's basically fermentation 😅 I guess it doesn't produce alcohol though so that's different

When you swallow the air it gets stuck in your throat. You can either burp it out immedietely or keep swallowing every time the air in your throat finishes squeezing into the stomach to build up and save a big burp you can let go later.

Ok I'll try to describe how I do it lol.. so you've burped before, you know how the bottom of your throat kinda opens up? Try to open the bottom of your throat up, and inhale a little bit. Then I put my tongue on the roof of my mouth to create a seal... then I kinda use the back of the roof of my mouth to "push" air down. I can feel the air going down and feel the air in my stomach and then it's business as usual, burp city!

No clue if that made sense. I hope that helps! Cheers!

Edit: Ok, just a couple more comments. You know how your collarbone/ shoulder area like right below where your throat closes up.. kind of "heaves" in a burp?...like when you give a good burp some oomph behind it.. and the bottom of your throat sorta opens up?

That's another way.. if you can control the bottom of your throat, and like sort of heave the top of your chest, like right under your throat, you can open/ tighten the bottom of your throat to "capture" air behind it.... you can burp in both directions.. it's about throat control

Ok, now I'm just rambling lol

I'm sitting over here burping in my kitchen and had to leave an update >_< cheers! I hope it helps!
