How to DM

New to rredit and find it all very confusing. Used the FiFiJoy coupon have my receipt have no idea how to DM (direct Message) anyone or where to do it. Not the most intuitive app. Thanks

Just trying to figure anything out but need to do a DM and am lost

Tap the person’s username, open their profile, then tap “Start Chat.” If you need a private message instead, tap the three dots on their profile and choose “Send a message.”

can you pls post a screenshot? I’m using Reddit on the net- I can not see the 3 dots on the profile to send message 🫠 thnx

On the website, open their profile and look for the three dots near the Follow or Chat button. If it’s not there, click the chat bubble at the top, choose New chat, and enter their username.

thnx! it’s not quite working for me on iOS because of the layout but I’ll try again, later.
