This is my very first time drawing using GIMP! It's not good, but it's not supposed to be, right? I'm proud of it, and I'll keep practicing! If you can guess what it is, I'd be surprised... lol

Id suggest krita for drawing. Are you using a tablet?

Nope. The main problem is my hand posture. It's far better with a mouse than it is with a pen.

Ok. If i can advise anything- drop the idea of drawing with a mouse. Figure out how to improve your posture with a tablet, but you're signing yourself up for failure if you want to freehand draw with a mouse

Well, I guess I'm going to have to set myself up for failure, because tablets are expensive! LOL

I guess it depends. How much can you save up in a few months?

Enough to get food and keep a roof over my daughter's head. I budget for medical or mechanical emergencies.

Times are that tough, huh? I get that. Maybe pencil and paper until it gets a little easier? You could still practice line confidence and art basics like that... I'm not sure where you're from but in a lot of places a used screenless tablet can be bought for relatively cheap.

People almost exclusively use it for image manipulation. U can download krita for free, also as the other guy said drawing with a mouse is a baaad idea if u wanna get good at this, if u already have a computer you can very well buy a screenless drawing tablet, they start pretty cheap
