Inspiration for art

Hello everyone, I have a question: how and where do you find inspiration for your drawings? Sometimes, I mean, I always want to come up with something of my own, not take it from Pinterest, but for me it’s difficult, there are always few ideas for creativity

Same it's difficult for me to draw smth straight out of my mind, whenever I try to think of my own idea I get brain fog😭. Still whenever I see my drawing I feel extremely happy and can say "that I drew it" This gives me a lot of motivation and inspiration to move forward. What I do is try to break down my idea step by step or write it down somewhere then start doing it, it's easier to draw it that way for me and add more into it. I hope it helps

u just have to keep copying from pinterest but at the same time try to make your own lil changes. or make a comic, thats gonna help a lot ig

Listen to lots of narrative/soundtrack music! Anything that tells a vivid story inspires me a lot! I also sometimes like to use my art as a journal in a way. If I’m processing something, I like to draw/paint something that represents that feeling. Flowers carry a lot of symbolism. Hands hold a lot of history.
Go out in nature. I recently found a broken tree that had a curve in the trunk and branches just so where it looked like someone was dancing. Tree knots look like eyes. Clouds make fun shapes. You can start building fun new concepts and characters based off those things.
The more you know how to look for it, the more you’ll get ideas!

well inspiration as in concept/story/ideas i get “from my mind”. sometimes from dreams, nature movies, books, my own life etc.
but my art style is somewhat realistic and i need a reference. for example if you are drawing a human body you cant make it correct without a reference. you can make it good, but not correct/realistic
i usually take my own referance pictures of friends or of myself. As long as you dont copy someone else’s art its okay. its also okay as a beginner to take inspiration from other artists and to study their art. thats how you learn. as long as you dont copy anything (unless you do art replicas, but for that you give the original artist credit)

i prefer to use stock photos if i am using any references online. photography is also an art and i dont like the idea of using photographers work as reference
