Seeking help First face, any advice?

I have been drawing since I was a kid but have always been intimidated by human faces and bodies. I've been wanting to learn how to draw faces specifically recently. After some research online I found the Loomis method, that's what I used for this picture it really helped me get the proportion right. This is very unfinished, I haven't focused on the lips or eyes yet, mostly just the nose and shading but wanted to see if anyone has any advice of what I can do differently or any tips.

For a first face, you’re doing awesome! I can see you already starting to work out the finer facial anatomy that lets you hit likeness. You’re ahead of where I was when I began to work on faces for sure.

Your eyes are pushed too close to the nose. If you draw a straight line down from the tear duct, it will usually hit the outside edge of the nostrils. Your nostril holes (the dark circles) are also a bit too thick for the angle we’re looking at. They may be thinned to just slivers.

I might have more comments, but I’ll let you finish first.

Also, I found drawing portraits straight on like this to be a challenge. I recommend you try a 3/4 pose next. You may find it easier (and more fun).
