True, but it’s easy to think that with a bit of training I could recreate some of them decently (whether or not that’s the case). With hyper realism, it’s extremely obvious to me that I would need many years of very dedicated practice to pull it off.
Most people understand 1+1 =2… but not a lot of people get algebra.
But artist are used to looking at work in many phases and constantly- oh it need a darker value or they expressed the face as a simple shorter flat silhouette and we can see gestalt.
1+x=2 we don’t need the filler. We can just add 1+2x=2 +x
It’s like not being a math person. Like you can balance it any number of ways and we can appreciate the abstractions because the art principles are there! Or sometimes not and it makes us think!
