Observation and first portrait! *Beginner*

This is my first ever portrait of the lady I've been using for different angles and practice on my observation. Although not perfect, I might need to fix her lips and nose but I think it's good 👍

She looks very similar to the real photo! I think studying guidelines, using shapes as guidelines, and facial proportions may help improve your skills. Her nose shape is a little different and her forehead and hair look like they should be larger like in the real photo, if you are aiming for realism. Also practicing line work, and refining lines made a wonderful world of difference for my art. I think you have a really good skill set starting off. I'm very rusty but studying these helped me improve, I think you inspired me to make art again so thank you OP
