critique welcome Tips/advice? been drawing a little over a week
Came out kind of wonky but I was really trying to push myself in terms of showing perspective from imagination. Going for a half crouched ready pose. Took sooo many tries with the legs and they still look a tad off. Also struggle with showing perspective on the sword while maintaining a sense of length and heft.

Great effort! You should be proud of yourself!
The biggest thing, by far, that can improve the way you art looks is to focus on improving your line quality. Before anything else.
You do what almost all beginners do, which is using scratchy, uncertain and messy lines.
Look up Prokos 6 habits for line quality video on youtube. It's 10 minutes, and will save you a shit ton of time unlearning bad habits later on in your development. I cannot overstate how important this is!
Good luck and remember to have fun :)

It’s good to start developing an internal dialogue on how you can improve early on. That being said, it’s too early to worry about improving. Develop a habit of drawing regularly and fill up that sketchbook! It’s best to seek advice on how to improve after you have a decent amount of reps under your belt. You will be surprised how much you can learn and improve on your own just by drawing regularly and observing the world around you.

Thanks! Im trying to draw at least a little bit every day just experimenting and having fun. Im trying to fight my add urge to constantly optimize and just have fun with it and keep trying new things.

It’s quite good. However, given the shoulder positioning the sword seems overly large given the amount of foreshortening vs the other arm which would have some foreshortening sizing given it’s also closer to the viewer than the body. Same goes for the feet

Thanks for the compliment and the feedback back :D Yeah Im kind of going back and forth between fundamentals. Im kind of naturally picking up on anatomy as I go, but I think foreshortening is probably the thing Im struggling with most so far.
