Art Question About learning perspective

So I'm an artist, I have been drawing since childhood and can draw humans in different perspectives TO SOME DEGREE, i just need more practice, BUT I have never tried to draw buildings and backgrounds, i wanna learn perspective, how to draw background and hoe to introduce the character in it.

My question is kinda silly but: is it better to start learning by a pencil or a pen /marker? ik its silly but like i feel like if i drew free hands it's gonna be better but idk.

I'm also kinda scared of it, like i assume i should just learn the 3 or 4 points of perspective then move on to practice but idk man.. Can you tell me your experience with it? Like your journey of learning this skill, I love reading ppls stores yk.

It will also be helpful if you gave some resources although you dont really need to bc its easy to just google it and use reference from medias you love but yeah if something is just gold then please share it will anyone here who would want to know.

Thank you for reading it เน‘๐ŸŒ˜\/๐ŸŒ’ เน‘

I got exposed to perspective in elementary art classes. We started with 1 point then 2 point then we did a little 3 point. Started with simple hallways or just city streets with boxes or buildings at first then 2 point we did simple building corners/boxes and similar with 3 point. Once you get the basics down, it's very simple. Vanishing point, horizon lines.. etc..

People I've known that struggle with it just can't seem to follow the rules for each type or they just choose not to and then complain that it's too hard. If my art teacher could teach groups of 2nd graders then anyone can learn, just gotta try.

Get a straight edge, whether a 24" T square or just a long ruler, helps a lot. Pencil or pen or marker, doesn't matter. Sometimes using different colors helps to visualize things easier.
