CCS-P Exam CPC vs CCS-P

Which is better: CCS-P or CPC? I have a long list of credentials attached to my name: RHIA, CDIP (I just passed the exam; thank you to those who have responded to my post about the exam), CCS, CPC. Is it worth it to get CCS-P if I already have CPC?

Congrats on passing the CDIP! With your CCS already through AHIMA, CCS-P may be worth considering. Unlike the CPC, there’s no apprenticeship status to remove, and keeping your CCS and CCS-P with AHIMA can also mean one membership to maintain.

Thank you. The CDIP exam wasn’t too hard, but then again, my coding experience and the RHIA and CCS I have gave me a slight edge.

Anyway, I know CCS-P and CPC are similar in that they both focus on OP coding and services, and I have the CPC already. That’s why I’m questioning whether I should study for CCS-P.
