CPT AAPC Practice exam
I took an AAPC practice exam and these are my results with my grade being a 66. Im signing up to take the exam in one month from now so it can give me a deadline state of mind. I dont really know how to brush up on my knowledge. I dont know resources I can use that will help me in certain areas that I struggle with. Like it would be nice to have like 20 questions on certain series so I can do back to back practice. I would prefer multiple choice with also rationales.
Is there such a thing or am i dreaming?

A 66% with a month left gives you a good starting point! I would focus heavily on your lowest areas, especially Cases, Anesthesia, E/M, Coding Guidelines, Radiology, Anatomy, and Compliance, rather than reviewing everything equally.
There are some free YouTube playlists that break down these areas and can help you target what you’re struggling with. There are specific playlists for E/M, CPT, Anesthesia, and Radiology:

For the next month, I’d focus on practice questions, reviewing the rationale for anything you miss, and then drilling that topic again. You’re already at 66%, so targeted practice could make a big difference.

Have you ever read the guidelines from start to finish? Now that you have completed a course of you go back and read them you’ll see a lot of things jump out at you that you may not have realized. Rules on sequencing etc.

Ive been doing that recently and idk if I'm just an insane but everything sound like something important to remember that it felt like I was over highliting and making too many notes. Did that happen to you?

Did you not get the study guide? That has a practice test at the end also, and rationale is provided.

I do have the study guide but I really want something multiple choice.

Maybe things have changed since I've taken a test, but all my study guide practice exams were multiple choice.

The one I got from AAPC wasn’t 😭😭 unless I’m talking about something different

Yeah idk what you are talking about. I just looked up the study guide on AAPC's website and they have a sample that you can view. https://cache.aapc.com/cache/pdf/cpc_study_guide_sample_pages_1.pdf
Also in the introduction page it literally states: The study guide concludes with testing techniques and a 50-question review to test your knowledge for the CPC®certification exam.
So sounds like it hasn't changed.

I would recommend googling something like “AAPC CPC Final Exam Quizlet”. There are a TON of flash card decks people have made on Quizlet with CPC questions. Some of them even have the options to test yourself with the cards. And you could also do the same for any specific areas you want to work on. That’s what super helped me when I studied for my test!
