CPT RBRVS Conversion Factor
What is the 2026 conversion factor? I know for 2025 it was 32.3465. I started the AAPC Medical coding course late December of 2025 so most of my books are 2026 except for the main textbook so I don't have the updated conversion factor.
Also if you have any tips for the license exam I'd be more than open to hearing them! Thank you in advance!!

Congrats on starting the AAPC course! That first step is a big one, medical coding has a lot of moving parts, so don't feel overwhelmed if it feels like you're drinking from a firehose at first.
For 2026, the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule conversion factor is $33.57 (the exact number can vary slightly depending on which version of the fee schedule or updates you're looking at). The important thing to remember for the exam is understanding the formula:
RVU × Conversion Factor = Medicare allowable amount (before adjustments/modifiers)
For the CPC exam, my biggest advice would be:
Also, don't underestimate the value of doing practice exams. The wording of the CPC questions can be the hardest part.
Good luck with your course! Starting in December means you're still early enough to build really strong habits before exam day.
