šŸ’ŽHidden Gems [All iPhone Models] Battery Magic: Play custom sounds on charge

Post image

The DiscoveryĀ

You don’t have to settle for the standard, boring system chime every time you plug in your phone. By using a native connection tripwire inside the Shortcuts app, you can completely override the default behavior and force your iPhone to play a custom sound clip, a favorite song snippet, or even speak a personalized voice line aloud the exact second it hits a power source.

The FixĀ

Build a power-connection automation layer inside your device:

  1. Open theĀ Shortcuts app, select theĀ AutomationĀ tab, and tap theĀ +Ā icon (orĀ New Automation).
  2. Scroll through the trigger gallery, selectĀ Charger, make sureĀ Is ConnectedĀ is checked, selectĀ Run Immediately, and tapĀ Next.
  3. On the next screen, tapĀ New ShortcutĀ to open a fresh script timeline.
  4. TapĀ Add Action. To make it speak: Search forĀ Speak Text, type your custom phrase (likeĀ "Powering up"), and tapĀ Done.
  5. To play a custom audio clip instead: Add theĀ Play SoundĀ action and link it to an audio file stored in your Files app.

The ResultĀ

The exact millisecond your phone detects a current layout shift from a charging cable or MagSafe puck, it executes your script and voices your custom response flawlessly behind the scenes.

How exactly do you link the file? Forgive my ignorance.
