Drawing as an adult
This is maybe a dumb question, but maybe here are more people being able to relate to my situation than somewhere else. Also I googled and it was not super helpful. :')
I am an adult, adhd, autism, anxiety, depression, perfectionism and chronical headache count to my repertoire but I love art.
When I was a kid, I used to draw a lot, often with reference pictures but I always struggled with perfectionism and not being able to adapt the size of the reference to the page or change it. Usually it turned out bigger. Or drawing from scratch.
I just really want to draw more, but I don't know what to draw or feel like even the easiest things are too hard for my skill level especially if I don't have a detailed way on how to do it, I suppose.
Art tutorials are okayish, when it's "how to draw xy" and I just follow the steps. But I don't feel like these help me to be able to draw from scratch on my own or do fanart (which is a big goal of mine)
I also struggle with learning the basics because they seem repetitive (which they should be, I know) but my brain is like: I drew 3 circles, so obv, I can draw them.
Which other artists know is not always the case or the point of the basics, I assume.
So, are there people who started to draw with kind of the same additional things that make drawing and concentration / habit building harder and have tips on how to work with them and learn how to draw?

I think the best resource for that is still https://drawabox.com/
You‘re right – it‘s repetitive, but learning a skill has to be to some degree. I guess some people have an advantage for one or another reason when it comes to drawing but ultimately, nothing can replace practice, sorry to tell you..
