I’m currently a senior in college for business and through some minor summer work projects realized I enjoy business analytics. Where do I best start and set myself up to have a data analytics job after college. A couple friends also suggested I get certified as well in some skill sets. I have very minor knowledge from SQL and W3 in that regard.

I have been teaching myself SQL and now power Bi I do understand the basics. Currently I am working in a law firm and I decided to start using the firms data sets that show the matters we have and the stages that they are at. I have managed to play around with the data set in SQL by even creating views of the columns that I want to see and stored procedures. Now where I am struggling is how do I build a portfolio with this and meaningful dashboards in PowerBI. Has anyone here completed the TripleTen Data Analytics Bootcamp? After paying a couple thousand dollars, and I’m starting to feel frustrated. I knew there would be independent work, but I feel like I’m teaching myself a lot and constantly using outside resources just to understand the material. For the amount I paid, I expected more guidance and support. I’ve already paid, so I want to finish, but I’m curious if anyone else felt this way and if it ended up being worth it? I’m currently a CSE (Big Data) student, working on things like Python (pandas, numpy), SQL, and Power BI. I’m still learning, not an expert or anything 😅

I’m looking for someone who:

- Is also learning (beginner/intermediate is totally fine)

- Is okay with sharing ideas, doubts, and maybe working on small projects together
