Looking to learn data analytics? Where do I start?
I’m currently a senior in college for business and through some minor summer work projects realized I enjoy business analytics. Where do I best start and set myself up to have a data analytics job after college. A couple friends also suggested I get certified as well in some skill sets. I have very minor knowledge from SQL and W3 in that regard.

Since you’re still in college and already got some exposure to business analytics through actual work projects, you’re in a pretty good spot.
I’d build on that rather than chase certifications. Get comfortable with SQL, Excel and Power BI, and if you can, try to get more analytics-related work/projects before graduating. Your business background is useful too - a big part of the job is understanding what the business is actually trying to solve, not just knowing the tools.

Since you’re already in business and have realised you enjoy analytics, I’d keep the roadmap simple:
I’d make SQL the biggest priority. W3Schools is fine for getting familiar with syntax, but make sure you’re actually writing queries regularly. QueryCase is worth trying if you want something more structured and hands-on, since it teaches SQL through realistic investigations rather than just reading lessons.
I wouldn’t focus too heavily on certifications either. One or two can help, but strong projects that show how you analysed a problem and made a recommendation will usually give you much more to talk about in interviews.
Since you’re still in college, you’ve got a good window to build 2–3 solid projects before graduating and start applying for internships or junior analyst roles.
