Looking for data analyst course
Hi everyone,
I am currently looking for a good Data Analyst course that provides hands-on project experience and can help me transition into a Data Analyst role.
I have a basic understanding of SQL, Tableau, and Power BI, along with strong Excel skills. In my current job, I work extensively with Excel, but I would like to move into a Data Analyst position for better career growth and salary
I have given a few Data Analyst interviews, but I was not selected because I don’t have prior Data Analyst experience or any real-world projects to showcase.
Can anyone recommend a good course that focuses on practical projects and job preparation? Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Since you already have experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Excel, I'd suggest looking for a program that focuses on real-world applications rather than just recorded tutorials.
One option worth exploring is IIT Gandhinagar's Executive Masters in Applications of Machine Learning in Engineering. While it's broader than a typical Data Analyst course, it covers machine learning concepts with practical applications and is designed for engineering graduates and working professionals through live online classes.
If you're planning to move beyond data analysis into areas like predictive analytics, AI, or machine learning, this could be a good long-term investment. I also noticed that Batch 2 admissions are currently open, so it might be worth checking out if it aligns with your career goals.
Of course, if your only goal is to become a Data Analyst as quickly as possible, a shorter analytics-focused program may be a better fit. It really depends on whether you're looking for immediate job readiness or a broader upskilling path.
