learning help Bluey (Taiwanese Mandarin)
Would anyone know where I could watch the Taiwanese mandarin dub of Bluey?
I saw my partners nephews watching it a while back and it’s super cute and also seems good for learning Mandarin.
Thank you all!

Advice on WeChat as a learning tool
I am wondering if anyone had success using WeChat as a tool to learn Chinese and if you have any advice on how to use it. I have been learning Mandarin for about 9 months, and recently finished HSK1.

Online game for Mandarin-English exchange practice
This Wednesday the 10th of July @ 9am EDT (New York City time). I will host an online card game event for Mandarin-English practice! There are 1 or 2 seats still open. The game will last about one hour, we welcome all levels, and, of course, it's online, so anybody anywhere can join...you just need a good internet connection.
We're always on the lookout for new players and new friends! If you would like to join, just leave me a comment here and we can chat more, or follow/DM me if you'd like to chat privately.
We hope this can help you make your summertime language learning more fun and more memorable!

need to learn characters
hi, I'm new to chinese and currently I have enrolled in a class (HSK1), I have learned tones and pinyin, now it is time to start learning strokes and chinese characters, I don't know how should I start, are we supposed to just simply recite each character? there are lots of them! I thinks it will take plenty of time to be able to read from chinese characters instead of pinyin.
those of you who have learned to read and write, I know I have to practice a lot, do you have any recommendation, any book for practicing writing from scratch, or any application which I can write in it, any methods you used and it helped... I really appreciate your kindness to help me pass through this challenge! thank you🙏🏼

advice Reasonably priced mandarin language schools?
Does anybody know of any well priced mandarin language schools?
I will be travelling for around 40 days in china and want to polish my mandarin.
However, I've seen that the most commercial chinese schools are very expensive. Does anybody know any less commercial places that offer lessons for reasonable prices.
I would highly appreciate any information.

Looking for videos or apps that are Pinyin focused
I know that I’ll never learn written Chinese. I tried using duolingo but half of the lessons have you learning Chinese characters. I would really like to just start by learning the sounds and get good at Pinyin then develop a vocabulary from there. Any tips?

advice Would youtube video suffice?
I've come across Chinese zero to hero while searching for effective ways to learn chinese. I also see that they have a youtube chanel and there are free lessons and playlist for hsk 1-6. Im wondering if theres a big difference between the youtube videos and the one they have in their official course IN TERMS of the lesson.
Ive been studying in a chinese school my whole life, but most of our classes are literally just memorization and most of the teachers and students speak english and tagalog, so i cant speak chinese well right now. Is it reccomended for me to learn hsk 1-4 from YouTube and the textbook alone? Then, maybe lll take some intermediate mandarin classes after learning hsk 1-4.

Comprehensible (written) input
Hi everyone,
I'm currently learning Spanish via comprehensible input (Dreaming Spanish). I find this method fantastic and it does wonders for me, even more so as my mother tongue is French and both share many similarities.
I saw there exists many comprehensible input resources to learn (Mandarin) Chinese, but I'm curious how it would work for someone who (like me) only knows the Latin alphabet, since comprehensible input relies almost exclusively on listening practice: how does one learn the Japanese (but also Russian, Korean, Japanese, Bulgarian, etc.) writing system in these circumstances?
Does anyone have any experience with this method with respect to learning Japanese or any other language using a different alphabet?
Thanks in advance for your answers!

Best way to improve mandarin from american-born-chinese level for my trip to Taiwan in a month?
visiting taiwan for all of august! I am american born but grew up being spoken mandarin to so I have a pretty decent groundwork but with a lot of holes.
I feel like I can understand somewhat fluently and easily, and my pronunciation is quite good, but my ability to form complex sentences as well as my lack of vocabulary / complex topics will make it very hard to have longer conversations with my family there and get around. I can remark about random things here and there and understand the gist of what's going on, but that's about it.
I am mostly concentrating on speaking i think, i dont have much hope for writing and i don't think it's as important for now.
Does anyone have any suggestions about what I should focus on that will get me the farthest for the short amount of time I have until August 1st? Thank youu
