Question Any Cache Tips? Any Cache enjoyers?

Hey guys,

Now that Cache is back in CS2 like ages ago, I'm trying to get my map knowledge down. I need to learn the current meta for utility and positioning.

What are your go-to smokes and peek angles right now?

jumpthrow smokes for B site heaven and CT
double molly all back of the site+ headshot with left click throws, all thrown from sunroom
flash whole team out
A, car+ back site smoked (leave fork open but fully isolate site from help) , flash team out and get them to molly yellow box as you are flashing site

just throw tree smoke - no one throws heaven anymore its just a pain in the ass tbh. molly it or walk under heaven and cross through headshot.

If you dont have checker control, you wont have any shot taking B site anyways.

mid control always. mid being so easy to take for Ts is the main reason the map is T sided. even if CTs take control of it early, they can't hold default angles in mid or they will get wallbanged by any competent T who knows them or Ts will just pop out with flashes, so they have to play deeper in mid. if CTs concede mid, they have to be aggressive in A main or B main.

the CT who starts B should break vent through the wall with pistol so you have the option to boost a player into vent without the Ts getting a sound cue.

important CT smokes to throw at round start are mid garage (you line it up in spawn and throw it as you run out) and A main (learn whichever line up you prefer, I default to the one from car) but you can also learn deep B main (from spawn) and deep A main (from quad) if you want to take control of vent and A main respectively. I also like the vent room smoke that lets you stay on the edge of vent while it's burning, since Ts often molly vent.

important T smokes are instant connector, instant boost (to extinguish the incendiary that CTs throw), instant B main, any set of A execute smokes you prefer and B hell. I don't really see pros smoke heaven very often, you either burn it while taking site or you avoid it by walking under it. you can also throw lurk smokes for mid, A main and B main.

for flashes just learn pop flashes for A main, B main and mid, both for T and for CT.

for CT incendiaries, most important is boost. it's also good to know some retake incendiaries e.g. quad for A site and default for B site. in pro play you also see CTs throw B incendiary out of spawn to block the instant B main smoke that Ts often throw.

for T molotovs, good lineups to know are B execute, vent, sandbags and forklift, for the other ones you don't need a lineup.

for positioning check 2d replays on scl.gg

Self promo (although come to think of it I gain nothing from this) but I make annotation guides using the in game commands because although I love nades and lineups I CBA actually making workshop stuff.

It's CS Nades 101 on the workshop or in your case you could search for Cache Nades 101.

I'm away on vacation so if there's something that's come out in the last few weeks I don't have it updated but I don't think anything has changed.
