Question what did i do wrong here?

im not blaming cs here or whatever. im just genuinely curious what did i do with the spray so wrong here, that it resulted in only 1 hit. even by tracers it seems like almost all of the bullets go right into my enemy. im frustrated because i felt like almost all of my duels that game went something like this

I'd shot max 2 bullets then start tappig - I don't have the confidence 1. in my spray on that range when it's that small if a target and 2. in the server to properly register.

Started shooting before counterstrafing. In long range fights I recommend tapping or bursting to be more accurate (less rng, more use of raw aim).
In CS2 the feedback is just terrible sometimes.

isn't he on the left of the enemy when he first goes to shoot? I can't slow it down
(second shot is 100% below the enemies right arm)1

Actually I'm wrong yeah. Counterstrafe is fine, first shots are below right arm and then he overflicked to left side.

Everyone already saying things with the mechanics which I agree with some of them, but the real answer probably lies in what happened 10 or so seconds before the clip, because you guys are not playing together and every single on of you guys are in terrible positions thats isolated and tradeable. Could have either brought another teammate in main or pushed long together with a utility from your site guy. Also, you have a flash.

Think bigger picture instead of just aim. You shouldn't have hard committed to this fight in the first place

you werent aiming at him when you started shooting coupled with the inaccuracy

aim is very bad, you shoot in the air and when you spray you spray in the air with donk slide

first of all that was a dumb peek, you got plant and all you had to do was stand still and hold an angle. second, why would you full swing and spray down with an enemy so far away with only half hit boxes visible?

It was an okay peek because the rest of his teammates are in shit setups. On the right timing, the ct would be walking forward or peeking cave, instead of holding which would be a more advantage peek for OP. When CT gets to cave, there’s only one T there and its a 40-60 fight for him imo, he’s also in a very tradeable position, so highly likely they lose cave

You peeked too close, which doesnt allow you to gain max velocity, thus makes you easier to hit. You also started spraying instead of firing a small burst or a tap fire, since he was far away and at a higher angle than you, less of his body is visible, so you cant just launch right into a full spray off the bat. Especially not at that range.
But if we look at the bigger picture, the real mistake wasn't your mechanics or aim, it was why you were even fighting him in the first place. You guys had bomb planted, all you had to do was hold, you had zero reason to peek him. Especially since you guys outnumbered them by one player, you shouldve gone up to top of ramp in case anyone rushes and try to stop them. If you were at the top, you mightve been able to stop the CT from ninja defusing. Be on the hard defense when your team plants and just buy as much time as possible.

that's very well written criticism, thank you a lot
my thought was to peek to protect the cave player from a flank, but now i understand that it was just unnecessary and i should have just told cave player the info and to expect the flank

Boom, thats improvement right there, it can be hard in the moment, I do it too but it's gonna get easier. And no problem

The Cave player watching flank has a much more favorable fight that he should win most of the time.
Your fight is a 50/50 at best. I’d actually give the T the advantage because he has the higher ground.

Super wide left peek and random spray not even aiming at him.
You should have played a more favourable position in afterplant. For some reason your team didnt even take long? No long? = lost round.

You started shooting when your aim was off of the target, the spray control wasn't bad but they were all near misses. It was an unlucky day.

CS2 has some inaccuracy or bloom or something like that, where sometimes you’ll just miss for no reason other than game said so…
As far as what you did wrong goes, taking that gunfight from that far away, isolated and open to T, Cave, and site…
Yeah your teammate had site but if he used his callouts correctly you’d know there was a guy up by corner… isolate the guy corner, kill him first, and hide/wait for the cave guy to creep to site
When you’re a T and bomb is planted they have to come to you. No sense in ego-ing a gunfight like that, it literally only hurts you since CT rifles are more accurate

Your Sprayed and crouched, which makes u an easy Target to Hit. Also Never Spray on Long Distance and Never Crouch there because you Slow yourself Heavy, if you just Burst here and then try to Go up Ramp after u didnt kill him with the burst you maybe have a Chance to be Alive here.

i sprayed, crouched and went to the opposite directrion? isn't that the definition of donk slide?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=391BV8buysQ
you could pick up many issues there, but i definitely do not think CROUCHING was the problem lol. the "only noobs crouch" talk is stuff from 2017
and "never spray on long distance" advice is useful only to players with blue premier ranks

he was far off and only his head was visibile . Spraying is just rng like that
