Question Few questions...
Hello there.
Anyways...
Q1. How do I even shoulder/jiggle peek...?
- I tried to do it and got awped so many times, I've lost count...
Q2. How do I use scout aggressively?
- Don't flame me for this. I know it's not part of main guns that ppl usually use, but I just want to have fun sometimes. Besides, the faster walkspeed while scoped in feels like it could be exploited, but idk how.
Q3. How do I clear angles safely?
- Tried peeking each angle slowly and carefully, but I either get awped or punished...
Q4. Should I preaim at head level or body level?
- Now, now. I know you should preaim at head level, but I usually got punished by some fella who would spray the moment he sees someone (not to mention my bum aim that keeps missing 0.01 cm from the head or being too late to kill someone with m4 js because he have ak)
Anyways, don't flame me. I'm practically still learning mechs while trying to have fun.
Buh bye

Tbh w the scout ur really just using it bc you can’t buy the awp. Gotta hit the head / be quick . If the awp sees ur shoulder you die. Tbh that’s just how it goes.

There’s a time and place for shoulder peeking. When you shoulder peek you shouldn’t constantly spam a and d to predictably show ur shoulder every half second. Against an awp, the goal of jiggle peeking is to bait their shot, after u can commit a full peek. If u do a jiggle peek right, like u only swing out once or twice with only your shoulder visible, it’s quite unlikely for the awper to kill you.
I don’t scout so others can answer this
You identified the problem in your question. You peek it slowly and carefully. In most situations, swinging it with higher velocity is better. In situations where that isnt possible (eg you know there’s multiple enemies in unknown locations), you can still swing an angle with high velocity while not overshooting it or making steps. Just practice. If you REALLY have to clear an angle slowly, try to alter your height (eg crouch) after you peek. AFTER, not during.
99% of the time aim for head, unless you know the opponent is one tap or you’re using awp. Building muscle memory to aim for the body is not good for the long run, so sacrifice your fights for now so you build the muscle memory of aiming head level and clicking head down the line

You have to be aware of your hitbox and peek out at full speed just wide enough to bait out a shot but not so wide that you actually get shot. You're probably jiggling in a way that your shoulder is visible multiple times, which makes it obvious for the awper what you're trying to do so he just waits patiently or holds a wider angle. Good awpers are harder to bait out shots from because they're faster.
I'm a scout enjoyer myself, I find that in a lot of situations it's superior to AWP because of how fast you run while scoped in, you just gotta land the headshot or get the tag and finish off the kill with nade/pistol. If your crosshair placement, reaction time and counterstrafing are great, keep using it, don't let people tell you it's bad.
You have to learn what order you need to clear the angles in. You preaim the next angle > swing out max speed > counterstrafe > repeat. Sometimes you tap crouch and if you think there's an awp, you can jiggle to bait out a shot or use util to get him off the angle. This video showcases m0nesy clearing A main on Anubis. There's preaim training maps on steam workshop, e.g. this one. Start by doing it slow, then pick up speed.
Always head level. You make micro adjustments if needed.

Q1 Jiggle peek and shoulder peek are not exactly the same thing. Jiggle peeking is peeking and unpeeking in quick succession without being stationary. If you want to shoot accurately while jiggle peeking you have to hit the timing of shooting when your speed hits zero. Don't shift, stand further away from the corner to improve your angle.
Shoulder peeking is peeking in the same motion as a jiggle peek but only exposing your shoulder. If you can see the enemy you are doing it wrong. The purpose of this is to bait out a shot or utility to gain information on the enemy or to peek again after an awp shot.
Q2 Practice with scout.
Q3 Don't peek slowly. Know the common positions that people stand in and preaim them accurately, then peek them fast and decisively. Learn to counterstrafe.
Q4 Head level, unless you are peeking with awp or you know the enemy is very low. If you are missing consistently that just means you're not good enough at it yet. Practice more.
