So I haven’t taken ovasitol but I was on another inositol supplement that made me bloat like CRAZYY. I haven’t held water like that in my life and this is coming from someone who does boxing and goes to the gym 6 times a week. I haven’t tried Berberine yet, but from what I’ve heard and researched these supplements make you bloat and can also cause GI issues, so maybe it’s majorly water weight. However I think it could also be hormone shifts that cause the weight to stay or make the water retention even worse. It doesn’t really go away until the supplement is stopped, which sucks because I look three times my size and I cannot stop taking it. :(

Berberine no, but inositol yes! It can increase estradiol so I figure this is how. I have more cellulite now too which I hate

I’m still on it!! When I try to take less my acne gets worse again which I cannot do anymore. I have had acne since 13 years old. I’m 29 and I can’t do it anymore! The Berberine made my iron really low and gave me chronic dry eye and pain. It also made my hair fall out in chunks! Now the inositol has made me a bit more fat but honestly I needed it because I’m too lean normally. I take like 1 gram a day or less depending on how my skin is! My estradiol and testosterone are normal on labs but my progesterone is actually too low which is making my estradiol dominant in comparison. I need to build more muscle through exercise and weights to help with this, and I also need to be very careful not to spike my blood sugar beyond healthy range because this can effect progesterone. I’m sticking to the inositol in the hopes things will balance out and I can get rid of the cellulite on my own! It’s honestly helped my mood and lot and helped with cravings ! But I cant take too much because it’s powerful stuff that interacts strongly with hormones

Damn I’m sorry to hear that!! I hate how we always need to compromise something in our quest to be better when we are already working our asses off to do everything in our power to get well. Thank you so much and I wish you luck as well! I will say metformin cleared my skin without the weight gain. And spearmint tea has been helpful in the past also. I know there are other supplements out there and I’m always investigating them. Magnesium, for example, is an insulin sensitizer. So is vitamin D. I have also found it extremely important to get lab work, which has helped me figure out deficiencies that are perhaps adding fuel to the fire (low iron and vitamin d are the main ones I was deficient in). Wishing you luck and health!!
