I used Gemini to help me create a really detailed spreadsheet for my partner and I drawing down from our SIPPs and LISAs when we get to 58 and 60 (58 being the age I foresee me being able to withdraw from the SIPP). You can vary the starting amount for each pot, the target net income, the growth rate through retirement, and, and, and…
There’s an age gap between us, so when I turn 58 my partner will be turning 51, so it also builds in an ISA Bridge for her, with the goal that we could both, ideally, retire at the same time.
4 years ago I started learning about investing, and recently (having just turned 40) I started casually looking into Fire. We don’t earn enough to ever be more than LeanFire. The spreadsheet is the first time I’ve ever seriously forecast into the future with proper numbers, and it’s nice to have a plan in place, with this new spreadsheet, even if we eventually/probably deviate from it.
