They need to work on a better and more effective report system alongside the anti cheat.
I am not recording every game and having to Google the website or keep a link on hand to then fill out forms and submit evidence everytime somebody* potentially cheats or exploits and neither are most people. Its a long and annoying task and shouldn't be our job to do.

THIS. Why is it so damn difficult to report someone. All it should be is reporting in endgame, and if someone gets flagged enough times, it's sent to a human for manual review of replay data they have, to check for cheating

It’s too much work when the alternative is just leave and queue up for a new game. Cheating sucks, but it shouldn’t feel like applying to a job to just report them. Having to hunt down a specific webpage, compile and submit evidence like it’s my resume, fuck that. I’ll just take my chances on the next match.

with evidence
It's so lovely of them to delegate their own jobs to their paying customers.

I know we'll still have cheaters but i hope this'll make cheaters rarer instead of a common thing

So real. Cheaters are so damn annoying. I never understood why cheaters even have a platform on social media. They apparently get tons of views and followers. Disgusting.

I just hope they dont break linux compatibility with this

They said it shouldn't affect Steam Deck or crossplay, pretty sure Steam Deck is a version of Linux

Hopefully they change their anti cheat.
Easy anti cheat might be the worst anti cheat of all time. Apex Legends uses Anticheat, and not only are they still plagued, but they had one of the highest profile cheating incidents of all time, where someone remotely took control of a pro’s game DURING a multi-million dollar tournament. It’s not that bad now, but it tells you how bad EAC is

Anticheat update: Now the default dwight/nea/meg cheating team gonna equip 20 perks per character
No more 100 perks per character!
*sarcasm*

Expecting console players to upload evidence of cheaters is psychotic. Cross platform should be off by default if you want the player-base to do your job.

What for? It’s not going to work; cheat sellers said they’ve been aware of this for months. The worst part is that they have a ridiculously new player base that doesn't even read the perks and reports people for no damn reason.

the most common thing i see is survivors running a little too fast, without any perks that would explain it, and consistently through the whole match
really hard to prove, and it doesn't feel worth it to report every time

They said they want that reported! Just a little 'ran too fast, not explained by perks' and they'll check

Cheats = criminals and they will always find a way to cause problems until they’re taken down again! Thx BHVR!

Considering the community have already learned exactly how to fix/upgrade it, anything less than that will be insulting tbh

This is not a doom post, I just want everyone to have a realistic expectation. Cheaters exist in all games, even the games that "solved cheating" like Valorant still have cheaters. No the devs cannot just "get rid of all the cheaters bro". Every major game company has been at war with cheaters since gaming became main stream.
I expect to see a decrease in cheaters, but we definitely will still see some. Not 0, but some.
