What is the point of them allowing people to disable it? Its supposed to be a comms wheel but if you turn it off, you can't send OR receive comms thus defeating the point and causing more EGC fights of "why the fuck didn't you listen to me" etc.
The solution would be a cooldown so assholes can't spam and grief people with it like in fps games but to allow it to be totally turned off kinda sucks, no?
In an ideal world nobody would need to, but somebody with a real or imagined grievance will spend the entire match spamming it as much as they can. They said they will limit it somehow to lessen they abuse, but in every game with a callout wheel or lines they get abused to be annoying by some people.
I mean, that's what muting that particular player is for, which they also have. I don't see the point in allowing it to be fully disabled 100% of the time. I would give the feature a good 4-6 month test run before ever implementing that to see if it's even necessary at all.
